    It really is not that painful! The best comparison is having someone take a toothpick and press into your skin for a tiny second (not even too hard). The results are generally only lasting after a few “refreshment treatments”. A single cell popping session will fade after 6 to 12 months tops (although you should always keep in mind that there are rare exceptions where the first time causes a permanent result, so always make something pretty out of it) :)

    ArtisticDomme is a very talented practitioner of cell-popping, but she did not coin the term, it was in use for years before she used it. Her contribution really was taking it from being primarily sensation play to using it to leave very beautiful marks and patterns.
