Once again you’ve written a great article. I’ve read about meeting safely many times. This time I “get it”. I can understand exactly how to go about setting up a safe call. I think it’s the way you presented it. A Devil’s Advocate type could say that it just finally sunk in. Either way, thank you.

I do have a question about a reference you made. “and just maybe, be a Big Damned Hero (Firefly reference- couldn’t resist).” That went past me completely. So I’m curious, naturally. Would you mind explaining, please.

I’m glad you found it helpful LD!

The Firefly reference is to a (sadly!) short lived sci fi/western/comedy/outlaw/genius television show, along with the movie made to finish off the story, called “Serenity”. It was created by Joss Whedon, is aammaaaaazing and some of us fans (affectionately referred to as “Browncoats”- if you watch the series, you’ll see why) are a little nutso about it. If you do a search for Firefly or Serenity, you’ll probably find more than you could hope to on the subject.

My reference is from the episode “Safe”:
Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us?
    Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.
Mal: Ain’t we just? [Moves to front of crowd, covers them with shotgun.] Sorry to interrupt, folks, but y’all got something that belongs to us, and we’d like it back.

It’s fabulous. And now I want to watch it again. But alas, it’s in storage. *sigh*
